「小黑球，水裡游，細細的尾巴，大大的頭。」兒歌是開拓、滋潤孩子心靈的一淺清流，中國的傳統兒歌歷經了時間的潤澤與空間的傳佈，更是我們珍貴的文學遺產。

精挑細選的一首兒歌，用字淺顯，節奏感強，輕快活潑，能吸引孩子一念再念，自然且自發的學習，感受文字的音樂性與趣味性。這些兒歌不僅題材豐富，內容更是親切生活化，描述幼兒周遭可愛的事或物，如：小貓咪、青蛙、小老鼠；或是生活中的趣味遊戲，如：小板凳、小皮球、滑稽歌……孩子可以在熟悉的情境中感受到歡樂。

此外，我們選擇多樣性的兒歌型式，提供給孩子各種語言練習的機會，如：問答歌「砰砰砰」，孩子從中體會了和人溝通的趣味；連鎖歌「大魚來」，激發孩子的想像力；繞口歌「鵝鵝飛」，可訓練孩子辨音、發音能力；數字歌「冬瓜」，在趣味中傳達了數字概念；遊戲歌「大拇歌」可配合手指遊戲而吟唱。

整本圖畫書並搭配各種深具童趣、民俗藝術畫風的插圖，賦予視覺美感的欣賞，讓孩子快快樂樂的吟唱兒歌。
